We have a cherry tree that has been at our house longer than we have. We are not big cherry fans and only eat a handful each year, even though Bob goes through the trouble to spray it. Since we have way more cherries than we eat we have invited others over to pick them. We only have a small ladder, so some have braved it and climbed the tree to reach more.
The kids have had fun playing with their cousins when their families come to pick the cherries. Somehow they all fit in this little playhouse under their slide.
The birds really like the cherries. If you do not pick the cherries fast, the birds eat them. It has been fun to see all the different varieties of birds in our backyard.
